The H.E.M. ankle rehab treatment worked amazingly well for me. I sprained my ankle really bad on Tuesday of last week. Could barely walk on it at all. Did the rest and ice thing for a few days like most people, but it just was not getting better. Did some searching and found H.E.M. online. Started up with the treatment and within 4 days I was walking normally again. The swelling is down by about 80% as of today, day 5. I just had to write a thank you for this great program! Thanks again.

H.E.M. was a life saver for me. Had to get back to work and be on my feet. I am a waiter and could not afford to be off work for 2-3 weeks. Got desperate and found H.E.M. online the same night. Started using it right away and the next day, the swelling was down quite a lot, maybe 30-40%. By day 3, I was walking without a limp. I cannot thank you enough for this sprained ankle treatment program. It saved my job. If you have a sprained ankle, get it! You will not be sorry. Thanks again!!
Hi.....I broke my tibia and mashed up achilles and most of the ligaments in my ankle 6 weeks ago. Came out of plaster a few days ago and am unable to weight bare and have very limited movement in my ankle. Am doing all the physio exercises but pain level is still throught the roof. My question, Scott, would HEM be appropriate for me? Thanks.

@caroliogold1 Hi- First thing you have to do is get the okay from your doctor that you are ready to start rehab. When you are ready, H.E.M. will be very helpful for you for a few reasons. You were in a cast for a while, so you will have a lot of scar tissue build up and your ankle joint will also be very weak and have very little range of motion. H.E.M. will really help you eliminate the scar tissue and build up strength and healthy range of motion to get you out of pain and properly healed.

Shouldn't a rehab program mimic the way you would actually use your ankle?
It seems to me that rehab exercises should be weight bearing too? Does this program include weight bearing exercises? I know that the one at fastrehab does. How does this rate to that one?

@mundt53 Yes, the H.E.M. program absolutely mimics the way you use your ankles and that is one of the main reasons it does include weight bearing exercises. But, H.E.M. also includes a wide variety of non-weight bearing exercises as well, because it takes into account all the different types of injury and in the beginning, weight bearing exercises can be too intense and actually cause more harm than good. H.E.M. allows each person to progress at their own rate to heal safely and fast.
