(Sacramento) Assembly Democrats, led by Assemblymembers Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa), John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles), Lori Saldaña (D-San Diego) and Juan Arambula (D-Fresno), provided a reality check for Californians bombarded with state budget related fiction from the Tea Party anti-tax protest at the state capitol. To showcase their point the Assemblymembers unveiled a 150 foot scroll listing more than $26-billion in state budget cuts made since 2003 and to show that even more severe cuts to schools and other basic programs would be required without the new revenues that were part of the 2009-2010 budget agreement. Heres more in this Assembly Web Report.

  • How about these assembly members DONATE THEIR salaries if they want more wasted dollars spent. They forget our country is to be run by WE THE PEOPLE not tyrannical assembly members.

CUT THE SPENDING! I think these assembly members are the real peril.

  • This is just unbelievable. Talk about rhetoric..talk about snappy slogans and absence of substantive leadership...this video is the epitome of what they purport to disavow. This deficit is their responsibility..not the taxpayers. They need to fix it...starting with a 10% reduction of their salary, benefits and perks! No more taxes, until the government gets itself under control.
