  • @bigfatAMERCANbastard I don't think you caught onto the satire of my post, but that's okay, internet sarcasm is kind of a tough business: America is "awesome" in the way that Team America: World Police was "deep". I totally agree with you-the "tough on crime" mindset is utterly beyond retarded. It's the systematic dehumanization of anyone who breaks the law, particularly in the case of drug users. People complain about taxes-well, prisons are expensive! Stop imprisoning drug users!

  • @LivesForJihad Actually, you don't need to have a majority of votes in a riding to win the seat. If each of your two opponents gets 30% and you get 40%, you win. A majority is over 51%. The more candidates there are in a riding, the fewer votes you need to win the seat.

  • Hey guys, just an American coming in to badger you about your politics for not being awesome like in America. YEAH! In our political climate, an ad like this would be seen as soft on crime! If you're not throwing peeps into the electric chair, you're a PUSSY!

  • Think of it this way!

If Harper destroys the evil climate change believing Liberals, who think science is actually a good, the left will unite organize their voting and end the conservative uprising.

  • Im sure the citizens will love when he puts a police officer on every street corner. Have your papers ready when they ask you or its reeducation camp for you!

  • @LivesForJihad so you are saying in every riding where the conservatives won they won it by 50% plus 1 beacause thats a majority, infact the conservatives got a plurality of votes nationaly and a plurality for the most part in individual ridings. if the system was fair the conservatives would have 125 seats so 40% of the seats n the house and the NDP 98 seats so 31% of seats in the house Liberals 57 seats so 18% in the house the greens 10 so 3% of the seats in the house and the bloc 18 seats.

  • @bezmoth Think of it this way.

A majority of people in 166 ridings wanted conservative representation.

A majority of ridings are conservative.

So a majority of a majority...

    seems pretty democratic.

  • Everyones an actor. Where have all the real people gone?

  • @bezmoth Harper got his majority. Just to let you know.
