I dont get into the business of defending rap because I know a lot of is commercialized
I dont get upset with anyone for their opinion you are certainly entitled to it..I'll simply say that rap isn't what it used to be..and to judge it by what is out today is unfortunately inaccurate..I wish that rap would've continued truth-telling, but it sold out..it sold out to sell more records to people who mock it's makers,and discard the intelligence that it contained..

I'm going to drop names, and leave it to you to do research before you judge a genre based on one representative. Common, Kanye, Zack de la Rocha, KRS-ONE, lupe fiasco, De La Soul, Elzhi, Phonte, Black Star, Run DMC. And thats not even half the list. If TV is your only source of information, you're no smarter than soulja boy is. Right now, soulja boy has controlled your mind into thinking that he is what hip-hop is about.
