  • GOP is using the word 'socialist' to bring an emotional response because they have no facts on their side. It is really just a smoke screen for big corporations over the people.

  • There's a good reason for conservatives' fear of government - they suck at electing leaders. And this video demonstrates that fundamental truth.

  • @hergs What is your definition of capitalism? I think it is the free market. Big corps LIKE regulation. They can deal with it better than small corps, so it winds up protecting them from competition. This leads to fascism. Big corps LIKE tight regs. It draws them closer to the regulators, just as in your def. of fascism. The HC bill FORCES people to buy ins! Millions of new customers, and the govt is forcing them! This is fascism. Both France and Cuba are socialistic. Cuba more so.
  • @freesk8

CAPITALISM does not always equate to ECONOMIC FREEDOM. China is emblematic of that. They are very capitalistic, but it is not democratic capitalism.

GOVT REGULATION of private industry is NOT friendly to FASCISM. There is more regulation than giveaways to insurance companies in this bill.

France does have a system of extreme democratic socialism. Cuba has a system of extreme Marxist socialism. They are very different systems, one is democracy, the other is authoritarian communism.

  • u americans have these kinds of people that are fear mongering attention hores in your house and senate, and i feel sorry for you guys. that was the most pathetic speech i had ever heard.

  • Hеy! I'm spreаdiոg my ex ցirlfriend's ѕeх tape aroսnd (nοt really sеx, but ѕhе'ѕ naked, puѕѕy aոd еvеrytհіnց!). Wհy? Bесause ѕhe'ѕ а bitсh, Sհе dеѕerved it, ѕo go аհeаd аnd watϲհ it. And tеll yοur frіеոds whаt а ѕlսt ѕհе іѕ, thе liոk iѕ oո my рrοfіlе рaցе.

  • The country I live in considers this to be a communist bill; so yeah I guess your a communist and I am too.

  • Give me socialism-Capitalism is turning into an utter failure.

Its given me plastics that cause cancer, food that is killing us, and social culture that values conflict and violence over everything.

  • I'm from Canada and I have universal health care. Does that mean I'm a communist? Because that would be news to me.

  • @hergs China is 140th on the HeritageDOT org index of economic freedom out of about 180 nations. Even France is more capitalistic than China is. I agree that fascism is the merger of corporate and state interests, and this is where we are heading in the US today, with the govt requiring us to buy health ins from pvt corps. Under communism, the state owns the means of production. Under fascism corps are "merged." Only a very subtle difference. France is not extreme socialism. Cuba is.
  • @PersonalJesus348 Communism as practiced in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was a form of socialism. Fascism, as practiced in Nazi Germany and Mussolini's Italy is another form of socialism. Look it up. The linear, left-right spectrum model is too simple to capture the complexity of the political landscape. Your thinking is limited by a bad model.
  • where is the socialized medicine in this bill? Please tell me. I'd MUCH rather have socialized medicine over what we currently have.
