We like the Quios River so much, that we built our lodge right next to it. The Quijos has the most accessible variety of any of Ecuadors rivers. From the creeky upper Cheesehouse section West of Baeza to the big (sometimes HUGE) water play of the lower Quijos near Salado, the Quijos river has something for every type of boater. Multiple access points create distinct sections each with their own unique feel. After the river plunges off spectacular 485 foot San Rafael falls, the Quijos leaves the road and becomes the Coca, which is great for big water self support jungle trips.

Small World Adventures has been guiding deluxe week long kayaking trips in Ecuador for 17 years. We were the first company to offer kayaking trips in Ecuador, and wrote the Kayaker's Guide to Ecuador. We have an exclusive riverside lodge on the Rio Quijos, near Baeza, Ecuador, with a gourmet chef, onsite massage therapist, the most experienced expert guides in Ecuador and over 60 kayaks in our fleet to choose from. Our experience in Ecuador means we have the logistics dialed so you can maximize the fun. Come join us for your best paddling vacation ever!
