~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my very first video. I worked so hard on this. ^^ Enjoy! PLEASE WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY! Thank you very much. ^^
This is a video tribute to Yukari Yakumo as well as Chen & Ran Yakumo. All 3 characters made their first appearances in Touhou: Perfect Cherry Blossom.
Character Profiles:
Yukari: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Yukari_Yakumo
Chen: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Chen
Ran: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Ran_Yakumo
Why did I use the title, "Violet Boundaries"? Well, those two words are very much related with Yukari's name. According to TouhouWiki, the characters for Yakumo literally mean "eight clouds" (but can also mean "countless clouds"), and Yukari "violet". All of the Yakumo family are named after colors. The frequencies (energies) of lights of the colors are proportional to their powers, Chen (orange) then Ran (indigo) then Yukari (violet). The energy of the violet light is the highest in the visible light, and the violet light is the boundary between the visible and invisible lights.
Occasionally, double rainbows form after rainfall - there's the rainbow one usually sees (red on the top, and violet at the bottom), and another, larger, fainter one above it. The colors on the second rainbow are reversed - red on the bottom, and violet at the top. In other words, the outside edges of the rainbow are violet - or, put another way, violet forms the boundary between the sky and the rainbow. Thus, Yukari's given name strongly signifies the idea of boundaries. There you go.
EDIT: I shouldn't have used the "Dissolve" transition... It messed up twice in the video.. ;_; *sigh* Oh well..
Well I hope you enjoy. Feel free to subscribe to me too. ^^ It would be very much appreciated.
The title of the song used in this video is 葉月なの - Phantasmagoria -弾幕結界-, from the album -AYAKASHI- by SOUND HOLIC.
I will make more videos soon and I hope you enjoyed watching this one. ^^
  • I've been studying on how to make videos before I joined in YouTube. I do the best I can just by using WMM alone. ^^ I was also researching through the Internet and then I stumbled upon "Movie Maker Forums". I learned a few tricks from there and applied them here.
    I'm making a few new videos for next upload very soon. And thank you so much for the comment. ^^
  • I went through my Touhou folder (34 GB of Touhou music and still counting ^^) and found this song, it's going straight to my playlist.
    May I ask what program you used? I read the description but didn't see if you wrote it.
    It's a great video and very nice for a first.
  • Oh, I'm sorry. ^^; I only used WMM. :D
    As for the added effects, well, I did some research through the Internet and stumbled upon a website called "Movie Maker Forums" and learned some neat tricks there for editing videos.
