Maybe there is less oxygen Hmmm stange being u heated the water maybe try to heat it on the stove see if the same happened and to do this experiement proper i would think u need more than 1 plant in each water maybe that plant just died un related to the water but the fact that it is growong leaves underwater is weird

These aren't "plants", they are cuttings. Cuttings have a high rate of death anyway, so this experiment isn't scientific. Try using actual plants in soil with roots already in place
The radiation of the microwave takea away all of the nutrients out of the water...
