Eye exams are relatively quick and non-invasive. See for yourself the simple but important steps of an eye exam. For more information about the importance of annual eye exams, see our other videos or visit www.eyemedvisioncare.com.

  • @haqzuk Optometry is not judged to be a medical degree. In some countries, an optometrist is never allowed to use the medical title, "Doctor".

  • @haqzuk

I went to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Typically, an optometrist has four years of college and a BS in biology or chemistry. Then four additional years of Optometry School. The same is true of Podiatrists. BTW, in the US, dentists also have a doctorate degree with only 3 years of schooling after college. The same is true of lawyers.

  • @3literZ3 well in the uk optometry is a 3/4 year degree?

and to become a ophthalmologist or any type of doctor you would need to do Medicine which is a 5 year degree

how you got 2 degrees in 4 years and one of them being a doctorate is just spuprising,

which uni did you go to?

  • @haqzuk

What country are you from? In the US the bachelor of science is earned in the 2nd year of optometry school and the doctorate is earned in the fourth. I'm not sure where you're getting your info from, but I've got the diplomas to prove it.

  • @3literZ3 DOUBLE WRONG! Optometry is a Bachelor Of Science Degree with honours not a Doctorate of Medicine in most universities around the world !

  • @haqzuk

Wrong. Both optometrists and ophthalmologists are eye doctors. They both have a doctorate level degree in the examination of eyes. They simply have different schooling to get there.

  • hey thats what they did to me.........lol

  • eye doctor are opthalmologists

but the pro that check your eyes are most likely to be optometrists!
