Liederkreis, op. 39, no. 1
The singer is me, the accompanist is my mother.
I've sung since three years in various choirs but I've been taught for one year. I've taken voice lessons here and there but not on a regular basis.

  • How old are you? Let's assume you're 15-19, otherwise my comments would be different. You do need a voice teacher, before it's too late (meaning before you are too old to progress)! Good things: You have a potentially lovely baritone voice and ambitious sense of choosing beautiful literature. Your vowel/formant formation is astoundingly precise (I do not mean that it is always correct for the German!) in spite of the fact that there are so many other technical 'problems'....

  • Thank you very much for your comment. I hope to post a new video soon 'cause I'm taking many voice lessons and improving.

I'm 22. Right now I'm working on projection through the soft palet and support. In this video, I hear that I have a low projection, in the throat, wasting air through the mouth.

  • YOu need a good voice teacher. What you are doing is murdering the music. Your voice is not placed where it should be which is in the mask.

  • I realize that I don't clearly start the notes on tone, at the beginning.

I infer from your comment that I "murder" the music because I don't sing in the mask. In fact, I hear that my a's are placed too far back in the mouth but I think my other vowels are sung more in the mask.

  • To fast!Wonderfull!

  • @jhvorotin Ha! Only today figured out that you sent a response to my post in Feb! So, how are your lessons going? Re-listening to this - how did you not pass out singing this über slow tempo?!! So much easier sung andante. BTW, mask-shmasks! Support is key, but even w/ what u call 'low projection' ur voice has *clearly* ring, (which for some reason, crappy recordings always pick up). Once u get ur resonance right, singing'll be even more fun! Sit at a piano w/ B Coffin's Vowel Chart!

  • TERRİBLE!!!!!
