Thanks so much for this!!!! I've never heard this before and I love it - I love everything he has done the last 30 some years now. Whoever said it is right - God did smile the day Bruce was born - would love to meet him someday.

I really Relate to this song :'(. I hate it that my cousins and other family live so far away :'(

I have met many of my fav artists over the years - I sincerely think I would be dumbstruck to be so close to Bruce to talk to him - he talks to EVERYONE he comes across it seems and does not seem full of himself at all. Thanks for the comment. We can both keep on rockin to Bruce on and on and on and.............

I found this one while searching BEARSHARE. I have found some other unreleased songs e.g Angel Eyes (not Jeff Healy's song) and Baby it's so cold (from Bootleg "Lost Masters" but nothing quite as great as "The Family Song". You can also find them on Bootleg CD's of Springsteen. I also have some great covers, Gypsy Woman, Who'll stop the rain, Suspicious Minds, Twist and Shout, Blowin in the wind, etc. He should put out an album of him covering other artists songs, that would be cool.

Ah shit! My text pages are too large. But I'm sure you won't mind the pictures are okay.
This song was done in 1972 and is the closest thing to Springsteen writing his biography. I love this song. Wonder why he never released it. Great stuff. Just love the Boss!!!
