Leaving Accra By Train

Ghana has dismisssed its whole rail network with the exception of a few kilometers from Accra to Nsawam. It is very relaxing to travel with the 10's train across the Accra periphery and than the rainforest. It is nice but a bit sad to see abandoned plants such as stations, watertanks, platforms, signals, ... as rusted relics of the ancient time.

Do the Trains travel far north of Accra?

As I wrote, train just reaches Nsawam, let's say 80 km far away from Accra.

Thank you for the info. I'll be in Ghana later this month to research my new novel CHILDREN OF THE STREET. I have several scenes that take place at the railway station, hence my interest.

There are at least three trains a day - maybe four - leaving and reaching Accra from - to Nsawam.
