Mike the Tiger LSU - Attacks Man - Jumps out of Water - Swim - Crowd Gathers

Mike and the Tiger Whisperer

Nov 2 09 - while visiting Mike... this guy, Darryl, who comes to visit Mike has an incredible relationship with Mike such that Mike immediately recognizes when Darryl is present and when Darryl talks to him, Mike perks up and starts looking for him. I was lucky enough to witness Mike and Darryl playing "cat and mouse" -- Darryl would hide behind the bushes and call to Mike, then move around the perimeter of the enclosure encouraging Mike to play. Mike obliged with hug and a kiss on the glass window behind which Darryl was hiding. I have never, ever seen a tiger in captivity react to a human in such a passionate, playful manner.
