  • man leno was killing it. he was hilarious

  • Leno is a stand-up comic that's why he's the best at the monologues (prepared jokes) and a little more uncomfortable with the interviews. Letterman is a broadcaster (originally a weatherman), that's why he's best at commenting and ad-libbing. The main problem with Letterman he's always trying to find a place to insert an ad-lib (not every guest needs to have a punch line). At least Leno seems interested in what his guests have to say.

  • Leno was very clean and very funny in his road days He was definitely Letterman's best guest in the early years

  • @JustinSosa How are bikinis & short skirts not ethical? WHAT A PRUDE! Does an old fart like you even know these beautiful girls? The short skirts are the girls at red carpet events trying their best to look their best...and they do! The bikinis are the girls at beaches trying their best to look their best...and they do! What's unethical about bikinis at the beach or a short skirt at a red carpet function? My channel is as much a fashion channel for girls as it is a fan channel for boys.

  • @JustinSosa My comments were limited to the interview portions of the show. That concept shouldn't be TOO hard for you to understand. Unless you're retarded...oh sorry, that didn't occur to me until now. I don't get along well with the mentally challenged, my apologies.

  • @Ramubay Once again, any person with no taste in comedy such as yourself shouldn't really be participating in this discussion. And of course I'm talking about jokes...what the fuck do you think late night television has been for the last 50 years?? A monologue, comedy sketches = JOKES. What planet are you on?

And I have no ethics? Nice. That means a lot from a person whose channel is dedicated to girls in bikinis and short skirts. Talk to you later, perv!

  • @JustinSosa Doesn't matter. I'm referring to interviews. They both stink. You're talking about jokes, let them do nightclubs. Regardless, they're both jerks who've lied to their audience. You don't care about that because you have zero ethics. Good for you.

  • @Ramubay Right, I suppose the guy who watches Charlie Rose and Tavis Smiley knows what's funny then? Letterman has had more memorable moments on his show in the last ten years than Jay has had in his whole tenure at The Tonight Show. Letterman has made a huge dent in the word of late night...his influence is immense. Ask Conan and Jimmy Kimmel.

  • @JustinSosa But they are still both jerks with no ethics. Both lied to their audience on numerous occasions and that's something I don't allow (sorry YT doesn't allow room for blogging long explanations). Neither have been funny in my lifetime but if you want to go back to the beginning of their careers they did some things that were funny.

  • @Ramubay Sorry you're not qualified to write off Dave or Jay if you don't like late night in general and prefer watching Rose or Smiley: two well accomplished journalists--NOT comedians.Dave has no problem showing his boredom when he interviews flavor-of-the-months/reality stars. Dave has had many stimulating conversations with many meaningful people: Obama, Condoleeza Rice, Bill Clinton etc. Watch his interview with Herman Cain and tell me A) he's bored B) Leno could have done better.

  • @JustinSosa You misunderstood my statement. I stated he "seems" interested, at least he goes through the motions where Dave goes out of his way to seem bored. I am not a fan of either Jay or Dave, they are both creeps and their formats don't lend themselves to serious conversation. These are entertainment shows not talk shows and I don't really expect much from either of their interviews as opposed to Charlie Rose or Tavis Smiley.

  • The end of this professional friendship was the biggest shame in television history.
