My video Journal on painting 28mm Eowyn from Games Workshop. Painting female characters are far and few for me, however this was an interesting miniature for me. Eowyn is a fearless, bold and beautiful character from Lord of the Rings that I admire. Also check out my article on painting female miniatures.

  • Nice figure (i also got it, but the dress is a bit more blue at mine). How did you make the base? The gate/diorama. So awesome!

  • @WHGamingNL -I used greenstuff.

  • @WHGamingNL -I used greenstuff. THe base is made from corkboard.

  • Any tips for repainting plastic minis(such as the Wizards of the Coast D&D and Star Wars minis).

Do you suggest primer and undercoat before repainting?

  • If the old paint is peeling or flaky, u need to remove the old paint job, then add primer and undercoat b4 painting. The goal is to make your new paint last for many years to come and not easily come off. Also apply a matt sealer when you r done.;-)

  • Needless to say, you're an incredible painter. I first discovered you with your Legolas project. I was hoping this one would be edited the same explaining the colors. When you were"rendering" that was the phase of the painting that really brought it to life. What were you doing during that part of it? Any help is appreciated.

  • Thanks Jim. I''ll get the colors up soon. The rendering part was very much like the Legolas vid. I added a bit more explainations in the Legolas vid recently, so check dat out when u r free.; )

  • It's actually white metal with some sunlight shining on it. Thanks;)

  • that is absolutely amazing! But why does the figure start out shiny gold, it seems a little odd to have a nice gold figure and then prime and paint it. but your version looks soooooooo much more like the real thing! awesome job!

  • Nice miniature. I especially like the hair and also the base that you put her on.
