A short demo of my new Blackstar HT Stage 60 tube amp. I'm using Gibson Les Paul Traditional. All effects on the pedalboard are bypassed.

ISF is set at 9o'clock, more towards the 'US' kinda voicing.

Extremely sorry for the sloppy playing. I just woke up. :P

  • is this amp loud? i have a fender fm 100 watt and it sounds terrible. i was thinking about geting upgrading to the ht 60 but im not sure if it will be loud enough. i love the tones! sounds amazing but will it be loud enough for small venues? i was looking at the marshall ma100c too.

  • @buddyruckus9 Hey man, this amp is HEAPS loud. I used to have the FM212 100W as well. and this amps is louder than that. Tone wise, awesome for its price and being a tube amp, I would definitely recommend it over the MA series from Marshall.

  • Do you have to turn this amp up really loud to get a good sound or does it tone stay good lower volumes?

  • @MoochoMocho this amp sounds best when you turn it up but at lower volumes it sounds great too. not too far away from the tone you get when you crank it up.

  • I was thinking of getting the 20 Watt head and running it thru a 2X12 Blackstar Cab. but I listened to some of the Combo vids and they sound great. Haven't seen a video on the 20 watt head only. Can youu get a SRV Tone thru these amps? The clean is very seet sounding. Trying to decide between Blackstar and Egnater Renegade.

  • @hawg427 I guess with the right settings you should be able to get the sound close to what you describe as the SRV sound. yeah the clean channel is surprisingly good. Very usable sweet tone. And the OD 1 with the voicing switch out has a very good bluesy tone.

Of course if you can, try out both the Egnater and Blackstar. The Egnater has the 'tube mix' thing which is like the ISF on Blackstar, difference being it using real tubes mixing rather than solid state circuits.

  • @buddyruckus9 Tube amps are always louder than modelling amps... Unless of course you're talking about 5w vs 100w... I remember a 30w Fender Tube amp being louder than my Line 6 75w... And of course, the louder your valve amp, the better sounding, the louder your modelling amp, it gets worse...

  • @buddyruckus9 The MA series from Marshall sucks. If you want a Marshall you need to spend a couple grand to get a nice one. But I have only played the MA not actually owned one. I would say go with the Blackstar.

  • Nice tits.

  • @buddyruckus9

Tube amps are naturally louder than solid state amps. To compare a tube and a solid state for sound you would need to divide the tube amps wattage by two and multiply your answer by five to get compare the volumes on the amps.

So unless you're packing a 150watt amp somewhere you're not gonna beat this yoke for volume with solid state.

Also unless youre going all out with money dont buy a Marshall, blackstar are selling some great products at the moment that are great value.

  • @buddyruckus9 It's way loud dude, trust me. And it won't be much quieter than any 100 watt amp. Believe it or not, a 100 amp is not twice as loud as a 50 watt amp. This amp is LOUD.

  • @yongling thanks for the input! i made the decision to get it and will be ordering one soon!

  • On the Blackstar Stage 60, somebody told me you could not get the bottom end that a Head and Cab give you. The amp already has 2-12" speakers in it, if you wanted to you could always add a Blackstar 2X12 cab to it. How loud does this amp get? HAve youu cranked it yet?
