Welcome to Create Your Own Vector Cartoon Bird
in Photoshop.

Video Script:

Beginning
To begin, we are showing you the finished product and then you will also see the de-creation of the image. We can then start to show you how to create it step-by-step.

Beak
First we simply create the beak. You need two triangles that are angled to make it look like the beak is open to tweet happy notes.

Head
You will then need to place a round circle on top of the beak. Add a radial gradient with a light color in the center and a darker color for the edges. I've chosen to use light blue and a darker blue.

Eye
Creating the eye is done by using 3 small ovals placed on top of the head layer. First you need a plain white oval, then you need a green eye oval, and lastly you have the black oval on top. Place all 3 at the right edge of the head circle, near the beak.

Body
For the body, I've used a larger version of the leaf shape found in the custom shapes. Place this layer underneath the head. Add a linear gradent to this layer using a light color and darker color. Leave the darker color at the bottom of the leaf shap.

Wing
For the wing, we are going to duplicate the body shape by right clicking the body layer and choosing duplicate layer. Now resize this shape and rotate it to look like the wing in this tutorial. The gradient should be changed from linear to radial with the darker color on the edge.

Merge
For the final touch, add 3 small musical notes found in the custom shapes list and make them your desired color. Place them in front of the beak as seen in this tutorial.

Next, all you need to do is merge all the layers including the musical notes so you can move it around or use it in one of your creations. You can merge them by selecting all the layers, right click on a highlighted layer, then choose merge layers. And that's it!

End
