@ausaskar i kinda agree about filtering out child porn and pedo stuff like that, but its more the person either looking it up or putting it up there in the first place that needs the punishment. the australian internet blacklist doesnt just contain these kiddy porn websites it contains stuff like wikileaks , torrent sites and fully legal porn websites and not to mention others as well... parts of youtube were planned to be blocked along with parts of wikipedia too. i just dont think its the best

will handle any upgrade that may come in the future.

The servers that send the service may have to be changed but not the cable.

Well you probably know as well as I do the imense amount of pure unadulterated filth on the internet.

Do we really want our kids looking up and finding this stuff? Not to mention the perverts who use the information superhighway to find Child Porn and all that stuff.

I agree censorship is wrong, I agree slowing our internet down by 80% is unacceptable.

But how are we supposed to combat these growing problems? None of the protesters or Opposition has suggested an alternative.

Don't forget, the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Perth to Kalgoorlie Pipeline and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme.

Don't get me wrong, 40 billion dollars is an obscene amount that the australian tax payer will be burdened with but this is something we NEED.

We are a laughing stock amongst the western world for our slow and costly internet.

The market has failed us, they don't give a shit about our future, they only care about making a buck today.
