I've noticed that most of the gold prospecting equipment is stuff a handyman could build cheaply. Thanks for the video. I need to build me some of this stuff and try it out in the field.

If you're faced with slow current flow just drop the angle of the sluice box down a little more.

That way you can adjust for almost any flow rate.

Another trick I have used is to use rocks to focus the water into the sluice like a wing dam.
