Thanks for posting ....great tune/performance by Guy..... this rendition with Stuart Duncan on fiddle as well as all the tracks on the "Live from Austin TX" CD make for great listening ...the bowed bass viol (Edger Myer) adds a full spectrum of sound.
Glad to hear that the lymphoma is in remission.

I've been hoping for one song on youtube, just one friggin' song, that did not have even one thumbs down. If this version of Guy's best song can't even be immune to the thumbs down, then nothing ever will.

i grew up in the Texas hill country, a child of the 70s, when music was the best, real folkd, country, American, roots rock, Guy right there with it, Steve Earle cutting his teeth on it, those days are sorely missed now by this MN resident. God bless Guy and a the peace of glory for his beloved girl.

Is this the Austin City Limits appearance Guy Clark did in the 80's. Early to Mid 80's? I hope it is. That was the first night I ever heard Guy Clark. A couple friends and I were leaving for a Halloween party when I came across the episode airing on Morgantown W.Va.'s. public station. I made every sit down and wait till the show was over before we could leave.
