More details: http://historische-elektronik.piranho.de/Hyperlink%20A/Henry.htm. You hear the original sound of this amplifier: first with a modern speaker, then with the original speaker. Amplifier and speaker from 1941. Four triodes RS241 class B, mercury vapour rectifier with load indunctivity. The EL12spez. constitutes a parafeed-driver. The tubes are all rather weak, so there is not much indication going on on the current meter. The speaker is a 15inch Henry Magnos HL2501PE from 1944.

  • The 1st step switches to line, the 2nd changes nothing to the first, but protects the mv-rectifier tube if someone won´t awaite the warming up - finally the 3rd step is swiched after 15 secunds

  • Such an elegant machine, and that it functions so well is icing on the cake. Thanks for posting!

  • I would to have one of these, that system is quite lovely, but i'd love a really 40's piece of shit vintage tubey sounding setup in the house somewhere :D

  • @fernando140887 Youtube has identified this song as "Chris Barber - Sweet Sue". :)

  • The original speaker, or any speaker for that matter, will sound MUCH nicer in a proper wooden enclosure.

Just like in a musical instrument, the sound box helps to both amplify the sound as well as give it "life".

  • wonderful!

  • too cool

  • Thats the exact same way I start the nuclear plant every morning...clunk....clunk...clunk.

  • @fernando140887 Majorca by monty sunshine or by christ barber's jazz band

  • Amazing! Thanks for posting this!

  • Nice amp.
