On April 30, 2010, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued a notice of proposed Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) reimbursement rates.

Some of you learned about this proposal from video relay service (VRS) providers urging us to send letters to the FCC pleading not to cut VRS rates, or they would be forced to close or cut services.

Are those fears real or unfounded?

Let TDI separate the facts from rumors so you can decide what to tell the FCC if you wish to send a letter.

VP and VRS are keep going,,,

    no no cut it off

  • President Obama wanted to cut services.. thats one of the reason why I didnt vote for him... Most of the American people thought he was wonderful I guess he prove you WRONG!!!

  • So does TDI have a stance on this? It seems that the answer is "We don't know if the VRS companies are telling the truth." But it took 6 minutes for Claude to say that!

  • Good message. Now I understand what's going on. Thank you for explaining. See you next time.

  • GREAT Vlog Claude! You explained it clearly... Thanks!! Deaf community needs to stop being a puppet to the mighty S!

  • Claude, thank you for taking the time making this wonderful video. Can you make another video explaning how NECA set up their cost categories and what items are listed under "Allowable Costs." Everyone needs to understand what data was included and excluded when determining the rates.

  • Beautiful!!! Your Vlog makes me proud to be part of "Our World"!!!

  • One more priority you can let the FCC know about: Interpreter Quality - companies need to invest in providing continued training and support to their interpreters. And to help fund development of new interpreters, so there's a large enough pool of good interpreters to serve out in the community as well as within VRS>

  • Claude, good job. I hope this put to rest to all rumors and unnecessary emails and video messages.

  • May I have your permission for me to post this video at the ASLRock website. You are welcome to sign up for the website if you want to. Good vlog.
