Incredible, but better if the second colour of the deer was black, not white.

It is amazing but it could look even better if, for example would match red and green colours - it would be painful for shader to analyze 8x8 square to determine two best colours but hey, it would look great :)

Thanks Kotowate. your right, converting colours on the fly is hard. i played around with my own colour spaces but i could no way match someone like lcds spectrum image converter. i made a realtime spectrum video converter but the results were poor. the system i used here uses the rgb channels on the textures to set the foreground colour, background colour and which one to use. the shader just picks the colours from the top corner to use on the next 64 pixels.

its running on a fairly recent pc with windows 2000 and an amd athlon. the later stuff i did with pixel shaders needs a graphics card with direct x 9c. sorry if i didnt make it clear in the discription. its not on a spectrum. thanks for watching.
