Sadly, it won't let me link to either, but there's a version of The Dog's Party set to music on YouTube, whereas Wikipedia will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Nell and Dead Eye Dick.

I have to say, formally the poem reminds me of a cross between The Ballad of Eskimo Nell and The Dog's Party -- but my knowledge of the poetic arts is limited to the gratuitously indecent.

@mcdermottpeter - Hey, my knowledge of the poetic arts is even more impoverished than yours, then, Peter, cause I don't know either of those that you mentioned. I will say, however, that I am inordinately influenced by the good Doctor. I mean Seuss, of course.
