Hardwick kinda' looks like a dope dealer, while Holman looks like a doper. Hardwick has the kind of pants that are good for getting loaded, you can puke all over them and nobody would know the difference.

Yeah, Hardwick had those deep, sunken eyes; especially as a younger man. Always had a very foreboding look about them. Marshall...well, I'm glad he grew his hair out then, because he wouldn't have it for much longer :-)
This was a great match, though. Two great bowlers competing for the biggest prize of 'em all.

Why was the 1970s so damn hairy and scary back then...and WTF is with those pants!
-
wow, they had hippies even in bowling back then.

When is the last time you only saw two bowling balls on the return.?

I can't stand bowling with my thumb in the final whole!!! I remember when I switched from 3 fingers to 2 (middle and ring) and then started noticing an improvment in my game! I wonder how these guys could handle that?
-
Oh, my mistake. Just askin.
-
@MarioCyrascoII He said right LANE.

Uh, Schenkel, when you called the bucket for the 2-4-5-8, it was on the left, not the right. Same for the 10, too. Just calling it.
-
I wonder what Marshall said at 3:15 ?
BTW, this is a great rare OLD video in its entirety! THANK YOU for sharing...

Well, that makes me incredibly happy to hear that he still bowls. I've read that he's been battling horrible arthritis, and that the prednisone treatment made him put on some weight. How's his health? Does he ever consider bowling senior tour?
Hardwick has a short backswing and really gets down low on his slide. Reminds me of certain Don Carter delivery.

but without the crooked backswing

I wish I had some Roy Buckley. The further in time we go back (especially before VCR's), the harder it is to get these tapes.
