@arsene737 good point, well im buying a new bouzouki soon, was thinking of trying to install a mic in it instead of a pick up. dont know yet. anyway, thanks for your input. do you play?

Sure if you want that super clean sound all the time, but sometimes you want that dirty, overdriven sound you can only achieve with a pick-up and a guitar amp :) Plus, in big ensembles or loud venues there's always a bit of feedback issues with mics. But why not have both? For example, I have a pick up in my bouzouki but in the studio I (almost) always use a mic in front of it.

@arsene737 microphone is a type of pic up though? cant all bouzoukia or instruments in general have a mic in them?

a pickup can come close, but never as close to true acoustic as a mic can. Personally I don't care much for EMG, and I'll use a pickup only when I want to create that dirty, overdriven rebetiko sound (when playing into a guitar amp). Otherwise I always use a mic...

Μπράβο ρε παιδιά!Για να βγει αυτό το αποτέλεσμα πρέπει να περάσατε ατελείωτες ώρες κάνοντας πρόβα,αλλά άξιζε τον κόπο!!!!!
