HI! Long time no talk! This is my entry for Round One of the NelenaWriters Contest. We had to write about fantasy. This is not my strong point, I tried something different. I want to thank Stasia aka stashhjonas who gave me a website with mythical creatures. :D

Her obsidian marbles fluttered open, surveying her surroundings. The vast land around her was cold and empty. The shrubs that were barely visible in some parts were bare and lifeless.
Her heart increased its velocity, and she began to run not looking back. Everything around her stayed the same; almost as if it was frozen. Her feet came to a sudden halt; her breathing shallow. She breathed harshly allowing every ounce of air to enter her lungs.
She squeezed her eyes shut, and opened them once more. Everything around her was the same, but her dark eyes landed on a blurry shadow in the far distance.
Her eyes widened and she began to run towards it. The crisp wind crashed against her porcelain skin, making goose bumps appear on her arms. She was wearing her silk baby pink night gown that reached her knees. Her feet where bare, but it felt as if she was running underneath nothing.
She blinked back the dryness of her eyes, as she found herself getting closer to the object in the distance. She breathed heavily, her arms moving besides her as her hands were tightly formed into fists.
She slowed down into a walk as she was a mere yard from the object. Her breathing steadied as she walked closer, her eyes trying to focus on what it was.
The object suddenly disappeared and her eyes widened. Her shoulders slumped and a shiver ran through her spine as she felt a chilly wind pass by her.
Her heart hammered behind the cage that kept her it in place. She stood frigid, not making any movement as she felt a presence behind her. She gulped down the knot in her throat as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.
'Is it a monster?' She asked herself timidly.
She turned around slowly, bracing herself for the worst, but what she saw was no monster. What she saw was pure beauty.
There standing on its four legs, was the most beautiful creature she had ever laid eyes on. Its white coat shone under the bit of light was available. It's piercing amber orbs studied her still figure, almost as if looking into her soul. Its straight white mane pooled down to its knees, and its alabaster tail moved with the bit of wind around them. His neck was raised, looking down on her, giving off an aurora of superiority, its ears pointing towards the naked sky.
What caught her eye the most was the pair of wings that were spread out around its lean body. The wings had a pearly silver color to them, making them shine. Everything about this creature was magnificent.
Her mouth dropped in awe as her thin fingers ran down its long mane. She let out a whisper, "Beautiful."
Her dark marbles kept starring at the magnificent beauty that was in this bare field. Her hands touched the ears, the nose, the neck, and every part of the creature that was to her reach. The tips of her fingers lingered on the soft blanket of hair that the animal portrayed.
"Wow. You are so beautiful."
The amber orbs shifted looking straight into her eyes, making her heart beat. It was almost as if it understood what she had just said.
Her hand dropped to the side of her body. "What are you?" She let out a shaky whisper.
"I am a Pegasus."
She jumped back, looking frantically around her for the body that pertained to the voice that just spoke to her. Her wide eyes landed to the being that was just a few feet in front of her. She gulped down the knot in her throat as her meek voice came out, "Was that you?"
"Yes, it was. My name is Helios, I am a Pegasus." The beings mouth didn't move, and it seemed as if he was speaking in her mind.
"H-Helios. That's a nice name." She gulped down the knot in her throat. This was way too bizarre, she was talking to a horse.
"I am not a horse, I am a Pegasus." Helios scoffed.
She jumped back in surprise. "You can read my mind too?" She raised a perfectly thin waxed eyebrow.
"Yes."
"My name is Celeste." Celeste said slowly, watching the living thing's every move.
Helios began to walk towards her, his hooves clicking on the ground. "Close your eyes."
