nice vid, im kinda in the same boat. bought a G4 1.33ghz ibook at a thrift store w/ a cracked LCD for $20!
im going to try to install a G3 LCD, its cheaper, but ill have to change the LCD data cable which is connected to the logic board. YIKES!
maybe ill make a video of my frankenstein attempt and post it on YOUtube
anyone else with LCD woes check out this awesome site - ifixit com
hope my end result is the same as glen's.

I'm also curious, I can't recall if you've mentioned—what are the specs on this Mac? Hard drive, CPU, RAM? It's pretty nice of your cousin to give it to you. Looks like a great machine.

I'll give you the specs here. 1.42ghz power pc processor, 512mb ram, 14" screen, 32mb video memory, 60gb hard drive.
