use rounded polysterene on the landing gear and make a long bit comeing off the tail moter level with the polysterene on the landing gear

Good attempt, did you get it working in the end? I would have made the floats much longer, and if possible, wider too, because if you can just barely get it sitting still in calm conditions, with nothing running, it would be very unlikely that you could successfully land, or take off, with it.
