I've just watched all your videos. You speak lots of reason and logic always backed by facts. We need someone like you in our parliament who keeps these lying scum bags in check. So are you in parliament or just an outspoken person with common sense? If you're just outspoken, your voice is not loud enough, you need more views and widespread coverage in the media!

No, I am not in any government position, and in fact I'm not a member of any political party. I like to think of myself as one of the (few) genuinely independent commentators on Victorian (and soon 'Australian') politics.

If you can come up with any suggestions as to how I can get my voice out further then I would be very very interested to hear them!!!

I am, as you observe, fact driven. I am currently criticising Labor, but that is only because they are currently in government and mis-using my tax money. When the day comes that the Liberals take power they'd better have their act together or they'll cop the same treatment.

Having seen all the previous installments of "Unpopular View", I can only assume that the state's politicians involved either don't know what is going on, or know what is going on and don't really care. Both options are indeed sad.

1 item I don't think was mentioned in all of your fantastic videos.

The pricing system in Victoria is slanted towards a higher service fee and low charge for the water you actually use.

ie: if you're a single person with tanks plumbed to your house and you upgrade your appliances to low water using ones, you still pay the same as your water wally nieghbours.

If the service fee was very low and the usage fees high, people could actually benefit from lower water bill's just by installing a tank

The amount of idiotic partisanship in your comments is disheartening.

There is no way to create "new water". Maybe we should stop trying to circumvent nature, and instead lower our population to a level that the natural world can support on its own, without the need for these huge engineering projects.

I just viewed your video and was very impressed, I think it's great. If the facts you have presented are correct then it is insane to go ahead with the desal plant. Unless, Little Johnny, who I believe originally planned it, was getting some sort of kick-back? That would explain it. Now we have put all that money into it, I doubt very much if they would abandon it? Pollies are only interested in lining their own back pockets, forget about the people who actually pay all the taxes. Well done.
