In EVEN THE RAIN, Luis Tosar plays a Spanish film producer who comes to Bolivia to shoot a film about Christopher Columbus on the cheap. Here he talks about the actor who plays Daniel, an Indian who acts in this film-within-a-film, but causes concern for the production when they realize he is actively engaged in protests over the privatization of water in his community. The government has even made it illegal for the Indians to capture the rain. EVEN THE RAIN is the official 2010 Spanish Oscar submission for Best Foreign Language Film. Vitagraph Films will distribute it to theatres in the US and Canada in early 2011.
