@borskyviolin Asarelah is right, and as an older man I want to warn you: get better friends or you'll suffer. People who give you a hard time over this kind of petty shit will not be good friends in the long term, and if you ever need help and support they will not be there for you. I wasted the first year of college on whoever I met in the dorms/classes/etc., but it wasn't until I branched out and went looking that I found the good friends I still keep in contact with today.

@Asarelah Most of them have "conventionally attractive" girlfriends who they've been with for years.  Anyway there were more things involved that led to us not working out, but if I had been less of a coward I could've probably made it work. It's OK, she deserves someone better than me.

This is sadly very true. I'm in college, and my first (and so far only) sexual encounter was with a fat girl, not obese but fat, and with pretty features, gorgeous eyes. For months now we've been going back and forth between being just friends and having a physical relationship, and it's partly because I can't hold up under the pressure of my guy friends who think she's fat and make fun of me for being with her. I can't admit to them that I'm attracted to her because she IS fat. It's sad.
