Mechanical calibration table controlled by IMU (accelerometer gyro...)

This is part of the work I did at Waseda Univ., Tokyo, summer 2006. Sorry I don't have a better quality video and sorry got my friend on the background eating his meal :). The moving platform (calibration table) is actually made from a spare hip of the Wabian II robot. The device on my hand is an off-the-shelf 3 axis accel/gyro/mag. box. The plan was actually to characterize this box with the calibration table (i.e., the box should actually be sitting on the platform and we would compare its output data respect to the position set by the table) but on the mean time, I played a bit :). This was custom work so not much to easily reuse but if somebody has any questions... By the way, at the time, Wii was not out and we were wondering if anybody could do something else out of this... funny...

@zspikes Thank you very much!! Actually the IMU was a commercial one and had the filter inside to merge accel, gyros and magnetometers. I wouldn't have mind to try to do/learn the fusion algorithms myself, but just didn't have time...
