Unfair Urban Reserve Tax Exemption

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation called for an end to tax-free status for Indian reserves. On the site of Sonshine Car Wash and Gas, they publicized the $54 million in tobacco taxes and $15 million in fuel taxes forfeited to Saskatchewan reserve businesses every year. Dion MacArthur says that since part of the City of Regina became an urban reserve with a gas station on it, he has lost 75 per cent of his tobacco sales and 25 per cent of his overall sales.

hah, we have tax exception. part of our shitty treaties. some lil incentive from our government. take it. cause this is not going anywhere

The thing is none of these tax cuts on certain things are on the actual treaty. There were no gas stations at the time, so all of this tax evasion stuff was invented through out the years. This is all fake, and non existent in the original copy of the treaty agreement

i am all in favor of tax breaks for indians around the country, instead of just being on indian reserves... lol
