The next Super Smash Bros. fight game will be released on both Nintendo 3DS and the newly-announced Wii successor the Wii U, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata explained during the company's E3 press briefing. Series designer Masahiro Sakurai is once again onboard

"A few months ago I explained the concept of Wii to Mister Sakurai, who was developing [Kid Icarus: Uprising]," Iwata said. "We were discussing which platforms his next game should be developed for--Nintendo 3DS or Wee U? What Mister Sakurai suggested then was an idea to make Smash Bros. for both Nintendo 3DS and Wee U, to make it work together on both platforms.

"Since his team is still involved in the final work for Kid Icarus maybe I shouldn't go into any detail today, but I think I have just promised you that Smash Bros. will be developed for Nintendo 3DS and for Wee U, and that the software will work together in some fashion."

making charaters harder to unlock you people are stupid! I just want to unlock all the chacters as soon as possible, ya'no so I can beat people up asap.

rob, game and watch, and ice climber were put in for a reason, they are important to nintendos history. and as for jiggly puff, you would be suprised how popular he is in japan.

I think a online subspace would be badass players being able 2 play as the enemys trying 2 KO other online players playing as the nintendo roster Kindof like the left for dead series where players got 2 play as the special infected.

You guys wanting Jigglypuff out. I agree with you guys 100%. The sad thing is though, Nintendo has being keeping the original 12 this whole time. I doubt they are going to end their streak of doing that. It will be both a surprise and a relief if Jigglypuff is gone. I think it is just a wasted spot in the roster. (No offense to those who actually enjoy haveing Jigglypuff around)
