In the Name of the Father - There's a hair in the ****ing projector!

This is a very powerful scene from one of my favorite films, In the Name of the Father. Directed by Jim Sheridan and released in 1993, this film is about the people who were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for the IRA's bombing of the Guildford Pub. Known as the Guildford Four and the Maguire Seven, these people were used as scapegoats by the British authorities in a time when the United Kingdom was screaming for blood.

In this scene, some of the prisoners create a distraction so that an attack on the Chief Prison Officer can be carried out.

This is the predictable Hollywood nonsense about nonviolence and how anyone who violently resists racism is as bad as the racists themselves. Only writers and liberal arts students could possibly think like this. Its amazing the extent to which modern man has had his nuts clipped by the media. In past societies it was considered dishonrable to be disgraced by turning the other cheek. The herd mentality has changed all that...
