TITLE: 'he'll never know'
DEMIS POV
"Yeah Joe shes great." I finally snapped. I walked away, leaving him standing like an idiot on the hallway. I sighed. Its like this everyday. He just never runs out of stories about how great and wonderful and perfect Taylor is. I mean, cmon, I already know that hes in love with her, and that I could never compare to her in any way, but does he seriously have to rub it in?! If only he knows how much it hurts me every time he tells me that he loves her. But hes numb. No matter how obvious it is already that I love him, he just never notices. Sometimes I wish that I could just tell him directly how I really feel. But of course, that will just ruin everything. And I wouldnt want our friendship to go to waste like that.
"Demi wait up!" he called after me. I continued walking, pretending that I didnt hear him. He caught up with me in few seconds.
"hey, are you alright?" he asked.
No joe im not alright. Im inlove with you but of course, youre too busy drooling over taylor to even care. I wanted to say that. I bit my tongue to stop me from saying something stupid.
"im fine." I mumbled.
He went infront of me to stop me from walking.
"what?" I looked at him, annoyed.
"did I do something wrong?"
"no. its nothing. I just dont feel well." I lied.
"are you sure?" He pressed his palm on my forehead, checking if I had a fever or something.
"yes. Selenas waiting for me outside." I gotta go. I gave him a fake smile to reassure him.
"okay then. Call me later?"
I nodded. He gave me a hug before I left. Selena was leaning against her car, waiting for me. she smiled when she saw me.
"what took you so long?" she demanded when we were both inside her car
"joe." I said. She already understood. Selena was the only person who knew how I really felt about joe.
"you know you have to tell him sooner or later."
"I pick later then."
She sighed. "a hidden feeling in someones heart is exactly the opposite of what his brain wants to imply. Simply, the more you keep it, the more its seen."
I looked at her as if she just spoke pig Latin.
"all im trying to say is that he will eventually figure out so just tell him now!." She insisted.
"hell never figure it out. You know how he gets when taylor's around." I explained.
"he has the right to know." she argued.
"selena I appreciate what youre trying to do for me. really, I do. But lets just face the fact that he will never feel the same way about me."
She looked at me with sympathetic eyes. "youre probably right. Its not your fault hes stupid"
I giggled.
We got to my house a few minutes later. I thanked her again before I went inside. I went up to my room to change my clothes, when my phone rang.
"hello?" I picked it up
"hey dems, its joe."
"oh.. hi." I faked my enthusiasm.
He must have sensed the sadness in my voice. "youre sad again."
"no im not."
"demi I can see you from here." He scoffed.
I looked at my window and saw him staring at me. (A/N: you know just like in you belong with me.)
"youre such a stalker."
"yeah. But you still love me right?" he joked.
Ugh! If only he knew how much I really loved him.
"whatever. I gotta go."
"kay. Bye." He hang up.
I lied down on my bed, covering my face with a pillow. My phone beeped. I looked at it and saw a new text message. I opened it.
"smile for me will ya? ;)"
I giggled. It was from joe. I looked at him through my window again. He had a goofy smile on his face. I couldnt help but laugh. Gosh! How can I not love this guy?!
