hated this movie M. Night Shalyman RUINED it.

Yeeaaah ... Sokka and Katara aren't white .... Hollywood just can't get over racism nor have the respect and business foresight to make it a series of movies, not cram 20 or more episodes into less then two hours
-
too bad the movie wasn't good, it was shitty, just like the attempt to make the dragon ball movie.

19-year-old over here flippin' ecstatic for this film!
Also, I am overjoyed that Princess Yue is in this...she was one of my favorite characters, even though she was short lived =[

Okay, so like many people I'm not entirely fond of the actors they've chosen (mainly Zuko and Iroh. I mean, what the hell? They don't look like their characters at all!), but all in all this movie does look pretty awesome. Mind you, I've always been a sucker for special effects, especially ones involving the elements, so I have no choice but to be biased...I sure hope they won't mess up any of the plot...do you think this movie will come out in Germany? And when? T.T

@phoenixofdestiny Well there is a German theatrical poster, so I would assume that, yes, it is coming out in Germany. As for when; I'm not entirely sure, but I would google that if I were you. I would assume sometime this summer (along with all the other countries releases).

I should have thought of that XD I looked it up just now. Most sources just say Summer 2010, but I did see the date 19th August mentioned...that's still during the summer holidays where I live ^^
Whats bothering me: The German title is "Die Legende von Aang" (the legend of Aang). Likely because 'Avatar' was already takenAnd what's even worse: In the trailer, they didn't pronounce Aang 'AE-ng', but Ah-ng, which is simply stupid considering the German show also pronounced it correctly...

@phoenixofdestiny Im guessing that the reason its called Die Legende von Aang is because the official American title to the movie is The Last Airbender - opposed to Avatar the Last Airbender (And yes its because of James Camerons Avatar movie) - and the UK version of the show was Avatar The Legend of Aang. So if you take out the Avatar, you just get The Legend of Aang. But thats the UK, so apparently Germany adapted that title for the movie too. Maybe thats its official title in Europe.

...It'd make sense if they copied it from the UK. Which is still idiotic, considering the show was called Avatar: Der Herr der Elemente ('master of elements') but that's the movie business, I guess.
In France, it's "Avatar, Le Dernier Maître de L'Air" which, means 'the last master of air", so -> airbender. But in Spanish, it's 'avatar la leyenda de aang', so 'legend of aang' again. I just wish they'd stick to one thing. But as long as the movie's good, what does the title matter, right? ^^

@phoenixofdestiny Exactly

@phoenixofdestiny Oh! And about he name pronunciation. It has nothing to do with it being the German version. When the movie was made, M Night (the director) discovered that a lot of the names in the show were pronounced with "American" accents. So he hired linguists to research the roots of the names and find the correct pronunciations. And now Aang is pronounced so that it rhymes with song, Sokka now sounds like Soak-uh, Iroh sounds like ear-row, and Avatar is pronounced Uh-vatar.
