@Andytheantiathiest Even if it was a prophecy (not a command) and the prophecy stated that the enemies of the Edomites (presumably the Israelites) would rejoice while they smashed Edomite babies against rocks, it is STILL AN EVIL ACT! 99% of the time, the morals of modern 21st Century Man are superior to any you can find in the Bible. That’s a fact!

@knowone11111 well if being courteous to others even when they do not in return, and helping those who are struggling sends me to hell, I dont think I want to meet god. if he detests those kinds of actions, he is a massive twat.
by the way, im agnostic. before you starting with the whole "oh he's an athiest, he cant believe in love" shit that always gets spouted my way by religious followers.

if you knew the history of this passage you'd know the Psalmist is talking about the Edomites who sacrificed thier own children to the false god baal in hopes of receiving good harvests. they were a nation that practiced mindless brutality as a way of life. Deuteronomy Ch 12:31

There is absolutely NO actual context in which I would find "dashing the little ones on the stones" to be anything but psychotic and deranged. That's just disgusting...unless they were zombies. If you were a judge in a courtroom, you would apparently sentence pickpockets with the same sentence as murderers: torture, until the victim expires.
