We have now reached the end of our trip. The last day of birding, April 30, was spent quite close to the airport. The morning was rainy, but weather improved later. We had a most enjoyable day!
First stop was at Wallisville Lake's boat ramp and Visitor Center , then we went to White Memorial Park and the last stop was at Trinity Lake NWR; Champion Lake Unit.
Features Savannah Sparrow, Snowy Egret, Great Egret, Tricolored Heron, Black-necked Stilt, Little Blue Heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Neotropic Cormorant, White Ibis, Purple Martin, Cliff Swallow, Killdeer, American Crow, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Common Nighthawk, Black-bellied Whistling-Duck, Yellow-crowned Night-Heron and Eastern Kingbird.
Mammals seen are Fox Squirrel and, as always: The Boys. At 12:25 there is also a snake in the water, which I think is a Marsh Brown Snake.
