One of the best Christmas presents I got last year was the Big Star boxed set, "Keep An Eye On The Sky". It contains virtually every song the band recorded along with a live show and a wonderful booklet covering the story of the band with many rarely seen pictures. If you want to get into the talent of Alex Chilton and Big Star, by all means, check out that boxed set. It's worth it.

Not only am I a huge TFC fan, but I am also a newly - found fan of Alex Chilton. I am really saddened by the loss of him. Actually, I'm going to Memphis Tennesse soon, and that's where Big Star recorded their music, at Ardent Studios. I wish I could see that place, first Elvis, and now Alex. Maybe I should tie-one-on for them on Beale Street, eh? If anybody in Teenage Fanclub needs anything from there, contact me!
