"Shipmates Forever" was a 1935, black & white movie, that filmed many scenes on the grounds of the United States Naval Academy - affectionately known as "The Yard." I have parsed through the movie and have included only the scenes that were filmed at the Naval Academy. It is interesting to see how much the Naval Academy has changed over the years.

  • Why are they playing the West Point alma mater at 2:21 to 3:17 and again at 4:45 to 5:47? Hollywood!

  • Seriously, is that the West Point alma mater? I am not familiar enough with it to recognize it. I'm surprised that got something like that wrong since they obviously had tremendous cooperation from the Naval Academy in the making of this movie.

  • We stopped fixing bayonets for the spring season of '04.

  • If it is one thing they could have messed up on, why did it have to be confusing something Navy with Army?
