We did Sky Trek as a group (5 vehicles) in Sept `09. It was great fun. After went to Arkaroola and did several 4wd only tracks in the area. This was more challenging as the tracks were not as well maintained as Skytrek and also steeper climbs and decents.

not really. high clearance recomended and a low range box makes it a smoother drive and better control but not totaolly essential IMO. yes these are some of the harder bits although flattened by the video. start early as it can be a long day and the rocks are very sharp.
