How is this sensationalised? how could it be? It's about as plain and truthful as it gets, in fact I've never seen a more sensitive programme on the subject. I don't read the newspapers you've listed for the reasons you state but this could hardly be described as media propaganda.

happens after, that mental torture is like most horrible thing in the world, and i have to go with it every single or second day. the only thing i get away from it, is to get that buzz all over and over and over again until im so fed up that i feel so shit that i dont want to go out from my appartment, only to go out to buy more booze so i can remove the reality again and again. i need help and i need it quick...

holy shit that man... i can see myself in him. oh my god and his story and daily drinking sounds just like mine, i drink 3/4 of his amount that he does and way to describe why i do drink... its really hard for non-drinker and non-alcoholic to understand.. it is like i have to get away from the reality, but after that buzz what i get from the vodka and whiskey, the fucking horror begings, every fucking single time and i dont understand why i really have to get that buzz again even tho i know what

@snowskate Thanks for uploading this. Very very powerful. Terrifying to think that this was made 6 years ago and the problem with alcohol has only got worse since then. Yet no-one seems to take it seriously......

I like the doctor. Some pple might be offended by some of his comments like when he said he can lose interest in some patients and get fed up with them. I think he's allowed to be authentic he has the right to get fed up too. Still I have a lot of sympathy for the patients.

ill back up snowskate there, i only ever drank 5% lager, problem was i drank at least 12 cans a day, well over 100 units a week

Not true badsign, wine and beer ruin lives just as much as hard alcohol. An alcoholic is an alcoholic, it doesn't matter what you drink.. beer.. wine.. liquor.. mouth wash.. it all does the same damage. A lot of people try to rationalize their drinking by saying they only drink beer so "I don't have a problem"... they only hurt themselves by thinking that way.
