Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 - Hunting Barbatos, Part 1

From what I gather, this is the final story-related quest in the game, though it's not mandatory.

The last time the Descender ran into Barbatos was with Tear and Leon in the Mescal Mountains. Like in Destiny 2, he was in seek of a decent challenge and we ended up giving it to him. He disappeared, but Chat and Kratos were eventually able to discover his whereabouts. Tracing him down to the Moscoby Desert, he challenges the "Descender"'s status of a legend and his new found power of the Radiant (in order to unlock this quest, you need to have received the first Radiant equipment set).

Considering the Radiant set is available around level 60 or 70, Barbatos isn't too difficult. In fact, he's actually pretty weak at this point. He still uses Evil Charge or Trample, and likes to use Genocide Braver on anyone casting/healing, though strength-wise he doesn't provide much more challenge than he did before.

Barbatos won't stop until he defeats the Descender and overcomes the power of the Radiant. Fortunately that means a few more battles with him, each that gets progressively harder. Also, this quest is what unlocks the second Radiant set, which is pretty neat too. Barbatos saying Kratos' name was kinda creepy :|

@stopgamer It's a shame that this and RM3 won't be released in English, but if you have a PSP then I'd say it's worth a purchase. It's pretty easy to get the hang of, and it's import friendly. If you know katakana it becomes an even smoother experience.

I recently sold my copy of RM2 so I can buy RM3, but having custom firmware makes it so I can come back and finish this Barbatos quest up. Which I probably will do before I start recording RM3

is there a region block? or do i have to get something so i'll be able to play this.

ToW:RM1 was rly good but i heard that there were alot more stuff added and improved in this one :3

@stopgamer There's no region locking and you need nothing extra to play it other than your PSP. I only played a little of the first one, but I'll say that this one does indeed have a lot of improvements. Don't forget that the third game, Radiant Mythology 3, just came out. It improves a lot of details in this game and adds about 30 new characters. This is still a great game though, and definitely more affordable at the moment. They both play identically, but the choice is yours.
