RRSat - a world leader in content delivery via satellites

West To East, East to West, from the cradle of the world, RRSat now provides global satellite distribution services via the most advanced digital MCPC platforms to more than 285 television channels and more than 80 radio channels,covering more than 150 countries and enables world-wide direct to home (DTH) coverage.

We operate more than 30 digital platforms that cover the entire globe:
• To Europe, Middle East and North Africa via Hotbird-8 (HotBird-3), Hotbird-6, Eutelsat W2, Turksat 2A (EurAsiasat-1), Turksat 1C and Eutelsat W1 satellites.
• To U.S.A. and Canada DTH distribution via Galaxy 25 (Intelsat Americas 5) and AMC-4 satellites.
• To U.S.A., Canada and South America via Galaxy 23, Intelsat 907, Atlantic Bird 1 and Galaxy 28 (Intelsat Americas 8) satellites.
• To Asia, Africa and Australia via Thaicom-5 (Thaicom-3), Intelsat-10, Insat 2E (APR-1), Yamal and Eutelsat W5 satellites.
• To Australia DTH distribution via Optus-B3 and Intelsat-8 satellites

Direct-To-Home (DTH) services
As a full service DTH company, RRSat manages your digital transmission, encryption and subscriber services.

Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite broadcasting is the distribution of Television and/or radio signals from high-powered geostationary satellites to small dish antennas and satellite receivers in homes across wide geographical areas.

The available DTH broadcasting systems provide viewers with additional options for obtaining a diverse range of programming where local cable or off-air choice was previously limited or non-existent. Broadcasters can choose between a Free to Air (FTA) "open broadcast" or can incorporate an "encrypted" or scrambled technology in their systems to prevent non=paying customers from viewing their channels
