mud crabs are great to eat. we use to hunt and make crab curry. in this recipe they kept legs but if you crush legs and get extract from it mixing in water.. and just keep rest crab body as it is. then crab curry will be more delicious and nutrient rich.

Best to taste the sauce first and then see if you need to add salt. It will be up to one's individual taste.

It's KERALITE, not Keralans...

@Desi4evah I am so sorry. I stand corrected. I tend to always refer to my friends as Malayalees so I slipped up when I said or spelt Keralan. Sorry to all my Keralite friends and thanks for pointing it out as no one has before. Then there is the language which is Malayalam which I always remember as Malay spelt forwards and backwards! I also understand the Muslims of Kerala are called moplahs.

Your link doesn't have the recipe to this dish. Can you give a link with the recipe?

Sorry, I'll have to dig up the original recipe from my Keralan friend in Malaysia and post it after I get back from holidays. It's a very tasty dish. In the meantime, try my Singaporean East Coast Chili Crab as that's a great one. Thanks for posting,
