Jack Lemmon(1925-2001) was a great 2 time Academy award winning actor. This movie is wonderful, it holds up today in 2009.

Marilyn Monroe was delicious in this role. Marilyn was a lot smarter than she looked. She put herself out as a bimbo because that's what the studio wanted, but she was a person who loved books and music, and she was into self improvement. She studied at the Actors Studio in New York. I wished she had lived longer to show the world how brilliant she was!

she is amazing as person and as the beautiful actress at same time.

i mean i was thinking about her, and figured out.she was special in more fields, and really different, but not arrogant and in the end of all that she died so young. her end was tragic and there is still question how did she really pass away.. is it a suicide or homocide and what was that in her or wherever else what made her so sad in the depth of her soul,

but something was really there.and it says, she was big man, a legend!

Marilyn, bless her, played Marilyn to the HILT!! That was her trade mark, just as Jennifer Anniston's trademark is her Friends hairdo! And Elvis' was his curlylips and shaky pelvis! And so on. But Marilyn had a product to sell to the public - her good self - and sell it she did. She wasn't a blue collared dope from America. If she was, she would have been breastfeeding ten kids before she was twenty!

So would that other "dumb" blonde who died a few years ago.
