wow thats amazingly slow. i might as well have watched paint dry. my friends stock 91 eclipse gst is *almost* as quick as my WRX (4.9 0-60, high 12 quarter). over ten years later they screwed up the formula somewhere when they made this warp-speed ride...

@STLATF ooh btw... yeah maybe not the Cobalt SS, but they'll def run with a stock RX8 straight line... no problem. And pretty much stick with a stock Cobalt SS. (supercharged ones, not the turbo.)

@STLATF I know for me, its a bit heavy for starters... 34-3500lbs... not a good place to be. 2nd is too short...rest are ok. 2nd needs work. motor feels goooodd... just not enough kick for a 3.8... should be over 300hp easy. and ppl hit about that zone with bolt ons and a good tune on stock ecu. Also, no grip. can't launch this car at WOT. not with some serious rubber...Mine will spin while i'm moving anywhere in first. with a WOT launch even from 1.5k, spins into second some simply its a galant

like i love the look of the new eclipse and they have decent power (260-265 hp (to crank)) but why the hell are the ssooo slow? did mits. fuck up the gearing or is it extremely heavy or what?

@babyhatjapan Not really, for the cost of that 2007 still cost, my buddy in philly found a V8 5 series BMW with the M sport package (like on the M3,5,6 etc). Its 300+ horse, and sexy as hell on the inside with quality to boot. Its a shame to see cars like the new mitsu, its OK for the base starting money, but by no means a good car.

A V6 accord coupe with a 3.5 liter and 271 hp on regualr gas does 0-60mph. I'd rather have that and handles better and loos better with a better interior
