I love Cantu. I use it 1x per week. I wash my hair with clarifying shampoo and apply the Cantu to my hair while its soaking wet. Next, I put a plastic cap on my hair and leave it on until the next morning. I prefer using Cantu as an intensive-overnight-deep conditioning treatment. I wear my hair in a very curly mini-Afro and I love it!! I also added almond oil and rosemary oil to my Cantu,as well. No flakes!! I love it and Love your hair!!! ;-)

@NicheDiva Nope...when I was transitioning I used it and it was horrible. Thing is I was using too much and putting it on everyday. It has protein in it so that was my issue. Protein overload. Balance is key bcuz after avoiding protein for months and now being natural my hair loves it. It works well with coconut oil. Do not use everyday.

I can't with cantu!!! That stuff hates my hair and my hair hates that stuff!!!

after taking out the twists do you have to re-twist every night or so?

my twists always seem to come out overnight and my permed ends are always straighter. any advice ?
so its probably best to use cantu shea butter on freshly washed hair while still wet?

@browny8103 this product is not specifically for natural hair at all so anyone can use it!
